Relaxed Leash Walking

7/9/2017 - 7/23/2017 @ 7:00 PM at Barking Beauties Pet Salon with Julie Schmitt | View Map

Prerequisite: minimum age of 5 months

Have you noticed more "pull" than "stroll" on your daily walks? You're not alone! Teaching your dog to walk on a relaxed leash is more challenging than you may think. This class will help you learn the techniques needed to teach your dog to walk politely without dragging you down the sidewalk.

Session Notes:
Registration: Preregistration is required for all classes to ensure small class sizes and individualized attention.

Requirements: All dogs must be friendly with other dogs and people and be up to date on vaccinations. These classes are not appropriate for dogs that may be aggressive or vocal on leash. If classes are not an appropriate fit for your dog, a credit will be applied toward private training. No refunds are offered once class begins.

Cancellation and Missed Classes: We will miss you if you are unable to attend a class or classes after registration. Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds or discounts for missed classes. However, since some of these classes will be held outdoors, the instructor may cancel and reschedule classes due to inclement weather.

What to Bring To Class: Bring a 6 foot leash and a treat pouch filled with a variety of HIGH VALUE SOFT, smelly, and SMALL treats such as Natural Balance Beef Roll, string cheese, turkey hotdogs, chicken. All dogs must be on a regular collar, gentle leader or harness (no choke chains, pinch or electronic collars permitted).
